White Spots on Limestone

I had brushed limestone flooring put down in my bathroom.

The tiler made a mess of all the tiling (horrendous messy grouting on the walls etc.).

He also never sealed the flooring. It looks nice when wet, but when dry there's all these white spots over it (as pictured). I've tried fancy expensive tile cleaners designed for natural stone.

I've also sealed with lithofin a few times. This improved things slightly.

Any ideas what I can do to improve further?

Is the what looks like green-ish tile part what it 'should' look like, please?

Is there any discontinuity in the (felt) texture between the areas which show the white spotting and the un-affected areas?
- Ditto in terms of erosion of the surface?

Do you have FULL details of the specification of the tiles, inc. composition, presume they are 85+% limestone + compositing materials, etc?

This is the image from the website I bought it from, so I guess this depicts what it ideally should look like. I would be happy if it was a bit less dull and less covered in white spots.

Some areas are worse than others but the feel of the stone doesnt differ.

That's one theory gone Kaput!
I was thinking along the lines of some substance having 'burnt' off the softer sections of the tiles leaving the white spots, which were resistant to the reagent, ever so slightly prominent.
I was thinking of particles of Silica (Silicon dioxide) in the form of quartz?

The floor looks nice when wet so I'm wondering if there's an oil or sealant which will deepen the colour and add some shine..
