It's been a while since any DIY stuff has been about. I need a power plane, as mine (borrowed, actually) blew the power cord out the back in a spectacular show of sparks.

I was considering the Circular Saw, but then the battery has put me off. Obviously the battery powered saw isn't going be as efficient as mains powered saw, right?

You missed the plane, it was on about a fortnight ago along with the grinder.
