I've a kitchen door which, being on the 1st floor of a 2 storey house, is one of these that swings shut. For about a year, the pin in the bottom hinge of this door just drops out. It's easy enough to get back in with a bit of manouvering, but obviously after a few days (or minutes) works itself out again.
Is there any reason why this would be happening? The house is only about 2 and a half years old, and the door did have to be adjusted a bit in the first year for some reason - can't quite remember but think it was sticking a bit. I know that there's some movement in a new house in the first couple of years, but as the floor on the other side of the door (the landing) is seriously creaking, I'm wondering if it's a sign of something else?
If not, great, but in the meantime, it's driving me nuts!!!

Any thoughts appreciated
