Are my tiles faulty or is this normal?

I purchased porcelain tiles that are 20cm x 120cm ( looks like wood planks). The builder told me they weren't perfectly flat. If you lay two side by side they are flat but as they are to resemble a wood floor effect they would be ar staggered intervals. It seems if you lay them looking like bricks the middle of the 120cm tile (at 60cm) would be around 1mm higher than the edge of the tile it is next to. Is this normal or not?
There were by no way cheap tiles, they were around £70 a meter on sale from their original price of around £95 a meter. The tiles look amazing and the varying White washed oak grains and swirls vary on tiles and there are around ten different tiles so it does really look like wood.
In effect the middle of the tile sits 1mm higher than the ends, so they are slightly bent.
