Howdens Base corner

Post by ad2002 »

Hiya,

I'm about to order a kitchen from Howdens and will be fitting it myself. It's a small kitchen and has an 800 base corner unit that will need its centre support moving to accommodate a 300mm door. Is this easily done on their rigid units?

:dunno: Howdens units specifically, but a piece of suitably sized (say 38x 25 Par) should be simple to fit.

I have a feeling that the centre support is supplied loose and not fitted to the carcass.

Seem to remember them being loose additionally supplied - there is one in there for transport.

Otherwise if you have to remove just remember to get a chisel between rail and top/bottom, cut dowels then clean edges and replace. Saves loosing 1/2mm on height of rail!
