Granite worktop requirements

Hi,

So I've fitted a fair few kitchens now but coming up is my first with granite worktop...I'm not fitting the granite (specialists coming in for that) but I wanted to check whether I'm right in believing that I don't batten all the way round but just the normal: gaps for appliances and into corners?

Also, any other hints or tips welcome :thumbright: Thanks

Make sure that your units' gable ends are properly fixed together and the carcasses are strapped to the walls so nothing can move, I'd say

A mate has just had his done, and the only problem he had was, his sink fits under the worktop and they wouldn't measure for the worktop on their first visit, because the sink wasn't fitted, they then removed the sink when they came to fit the worktop because the sink was in the way?
