Hi,

Can anybody offer any tips please on how to scribe a worktop end panel thats used to support the worktop at the end of a run and not attached to a cabinet. i.e a washing machine is between the support panel and adjacent cabinets.

thanks

Stand the panel in position as close as you can get it, level it and plumb it.

Hold it there with a couple of clamps if necessary. Measure how much it needs to drop and mark that on the bottom, same procedure at the back. So, if it needs to drop 5 mm, find (or make) a scrap of timber that's 5mm thick and run that along the floor next to the panel with a sharp pencil hard on top marking the panel. Seal the cut edge with silicone before installing.

The cheating way is to cut 10* mm off (*depends on each individual circumstance) and put a screw two screws in the bottom to lift it level.

Thanks for the reply. I can see the screw scenario working in certain circumstances, nice tip.
