Trying to connect the dust port of my saw to my Henry Hoover. I know its not a perfect solutionbut its early days.

Stuck at the first hurdle. The saw port seems to measure OD 39mm and ID 36mm.

Any one solved how to take that to a vacum - Henry is OD 32mm and ID 28mm

Any other suggestions

Thank you

David

Hoping for something a bit more sophisicated.

Hope to be able to take it on and off in favour of the bag as apprropriate

There must be adaptors available but where are they hiding?

:)

axminster tool do adapters
also look at things like empty silicon tubes or plumbing pipes sometimes with a small "v"nick to reduce one end

as an aside i have the 18v battery version and the dust bag is pure madness
with the head in the cutting position the contents fall by gravity out off the bag
any way solved that by bending the wire to drop the back off the bag to level when fully dropped and to the left off the metal work when fully raised
i also installed a 40mm cut off old silicon tube to hold the neck open in the bag
also required the bag to be only about half onto the extraction port to clear the metal work
not sure if it would work on the bigger saw but worth a mention

other ideas are old vacuum attachments that fit the hose filed tapered reduced cut adapted to fit

The problem is the Henry...... If you had a DW, or Bosch, or Metabo, etc industrial vacuum you'd find that the hose end fits pretty much any industrial/trade power tool out there. Trend do a couple of taper adaptors, Triton do one, too, but as B-A points out it might take a wee bit of finagleing to get things to work

I have done this before with vacuum adapters for other vacuums, they're a bit of a tight fit but you can pick them up on eBay and make them fit a henry.
