Well that seemed a bloody great feature update done yesterday.

Quite a lot of new stuff, if one actually needs it!

A couple of weeks ago, Win 10 decided that I was going to have the update to 1803 whether I wanted it or not. I didn't want it because every time it tried it had failed!
Anyway, it managed to go ahead while my back was turned, and broke Win 10. I tried to restore from a full backup, but it wouldn't recognise the drive so I guess it had done the boot record or something.
So I reinstalled from scratch.
I love you so much Microsoft. :angryfire:
And then I had to uninstall all their free stuff I don't want. At least what you can uninstall.
I'm sure that this is leading down the subscription path.

Been throwing a lot of people off at work as it comes up with the permission settings to select "yes/no"

I have a little Toshiba 9 inch netbook that fits on my van shelf above my head just nicely. It's not the fastest netbook but it does the job well and it's great for travelling with. I don't have enough space to install the latest updates but it keeps reminding me at inconvenient moments and I don't know how to switch these notifications off.

The sceptic in me is convinced it's just another way to force you to upgrade equipment every few years.

The biggest issue with Win10 is the update policy. it is just a crap, lol
