So after an awful winter/spring time to get the work vehicle nice and clean (Had already washed it underneath a month or two ago)
Today had a couple of hours to spare, so gave the bodywork a wash and wax treatment (Morrisons, not as good as the turtle wax equivalent) Dried then gave it a treat...
AutoGlym super resin polish...
Not bad for a 19 year old...

Ever used a polishing machine on the car? I've seen videos of professionals 'pimping' luxury cars and they've used electric buffing (with hand finishing of course) with, what it seems, all sorts of light weight polishing compounds.
My Jeep needs a serious going over - like 'serious' man...... it must get washed about once a year and it's never had a polish! But I want to give it some elbow this summer and have concerns over buffing it with a machine (giggidy).

If any of you haven’t tried Williams waterless wash/wax then give it a go. It’s great stuff,spray it on and wipe it in and buff it off. If the cars mega dirty you use a lot of cloths but it shines it up nice and gives it a good protection. You can spray it over the whole car,windows,wheels and trim. After a couple of cleans with it it gets easier to wash.
I just bought 4 x 1 litre bottles yesterday for 20 quid. You get about 5-6 washes per litre bottle.

I've always worried about the dirt on the surface scratching the paint with that kind of product. What have you have noticed?
I must admit that I used to clean our cars myself weekly but I graduated to the proliferation of hand car washes that sprung up ten years ago. They always turn out an immaculate job for £5. I was a bit miffed to be charged more for my new SUV which is classed as a big car and my Mondeo (which was bigger) was not. The alloys always look new when they have done.
I probably do not go as often, certainly not every week, and I wait until it looks dirty these days.

Never scratched my car and I’ve used it for years since car was new. It’s good stuff.

Did have a random orbital polishing thingamybob used on previous vehicle. Great until it picks up a tinnnnnnyyyy piece of grit and puts micro - scratches all over the paintwork...

Same as Rorschach I wouldn't clean the car without giving a good blast with the hosepipe to get rid of any grit first. I don't trust waterless...

It’s not really waterless as it’s mostly water.....honestly it really does work,I was sceptical about it and used it after washing as it’s a good product for shining the car up on its own but I’ve since used as my all in cleaner now and it’s washed the car when really filthy and never scratched the car.
