Tiling outdoor

Hi guys, just looking for some advice before I start a diy job.

I’m going to tile the steps leading up to our front door. I’ve bouught tiles, adhesive and grout which all say they are suitable for outdoor use. I know my grouting has to be perfect to stop water getting under and cracking when it freezes.

Any tips/advice I might have missed?

On the corner of each step would you use edging strips or not? If so, anything I should look for when buying, I’ve searched and looked but can’t find any which seem specifically designed for outdoor steps which will have lots of people walking over them.

Cheers,
Nick

by tiling steps you will probly be altering the rise and tread ratio.what comes after the last rise - a standing area or the entrance?
google external step or stair nosings.theyve got to be well fixed on or they come loose and can pool water.
tile on steps can obviously be slippy.are the tiles non-slip?
tiled treads are more common in hot countries.
if youve got lots of people walking on them then i wouldn't tile.
