Just a quick question for you all.....Ive used both Hardibacker and Aquapanel in the past...having looked through the posts in here alot of you seem to prefer the aquapanel....can I ask why?

I found Aquapanel quite heavy and hard to cut, i used it anyway because it wont rot etc but was recently introduced to Hardibacker at my local Travis Perkins and have found it much easier to use, easy to cut etc etc

let me know your thoughts.....

Yeah I find that it is usually...I get the 12mm Hardibacker for around 9.00 a sheet wheres I know that the aquapanel is around 11.00 at wickes etc.

The 6 mm I get for 10.50, ive never bought the 6mm aquapanel but have heard off a friend that it can also be quite expensive!

The 6mm is perfect for floors though...saves having to put down 9mm,12mm,15mm or 18mm ply down so saves on the depth for the floor greatly! Saved myself alot of sanding down doors!
