Red light camera

Post by Manc chippy »

Hi,
I was by a junction to turn right. I waited until the light went green and then pulled forwards ready to turn (it wasn't a box junction). I waited for the traffic on the other lane to clear and then accelerated. However as I was turning I got flashed twice by the red light camera from the opposite lane. Does anyone know how to handle this?

Wait and see what comes through the post.
Don't worry over something that may not happen, besides, what have you done wrong? nothing?
Above are my opinions Below is my signature.

Would you hit a nail with a shoe because you don't have a hammer? of course not, then why work on anything electrical without a means of testing Click Here to buy a "tester" just because it works, does NOT mean it is safe.

:withstupid: I wouldn't worry too much, I expect it's a common occurrence anyway. Do you have a dash camera? Whenever I have been in a sketchy situation like that I always save the clips on my computer in case I need them as evidence I was acting in good faith.

If you've crossed the white line on green and we're waiting for oncoming traffic to clear then no offence has been committed.
Don't sweat on something you might hear nothing about.
I was flashed on July 4th on a smart motorway doing 47 when the overhead gantry said 40.

I drive a large van. The back wheels hadn't cleared to line yet.

You need to wait and see what happens. I'd be surprised if anything and any punishment or fine would seem harsh.
