Sound like your PC is set to US keyboard layout. Are you seeing this in Word or another application?Barrysh wrote:Hi, a couple of keys on my pc keyboard have started reversing. Have a look in Start> Control Panel >Region and Language.

Re: Faulty Keyboard, keys reversing
Hi, this has just started after years of it being ok. Checked settings. It is the same in English (UK) and English (US). It does it both in word and email. It's annoying in email as I use the @ key quite often, Thanks

It is possible for another application or update to have changed the setting, deffo not a keyboard problem. Can you screen shot the "keyboards and Language" tab from the "language and Regional" control panel you looked at earlier?

Right click the start button /windows button or whatever they're calling it now. Left click on "Settings"
You can check when it last updated form there "Update and Security" and then "View updates"
It will almost certainly have updated recently.
Again under "settings" are the regional settings under "Time date and region" There are quite a lot of settings there as you go through the menus. One might have become changed.

Re: Faulty Keyboard, keys reversing
Hi, thanks all, it's now sorted. I did change it from English US to English UK and it didn't make any difference but hadn't realised the pc needed restarted for it to take effect. Good job because I probably couldn't have done a screen shot for you even after watching youtube clip. I'll have to practice. Thanks again, Barry

Hi Barry should have given you instructions on taking screenshots. Glad you got it fixed and you've learned a couple of things along the way!
My Dad found free computer courses at a local collage really useful, you should see if anything is available near you.
