Engine Management Light On

Post by Argyll »

I've just changed the oil and filters on my 2011 Peugeot partner van. The van drives great but the engine management light is on. Is there an easy way to turn it off or will I need to get my mate to use his diagnostic gizmo to turn it off?

I'm guessing as I changed the fuel filter it probably thinks the filter is faulty or has water in it.

Disconnect the battery for 10 minutes and reconnect. This can often clear a fault that’s not really there.
What did you fill the fuel filter with prior to fitting?diesel or injection cleaner?
Carpentry,I can explain it to you but I cannot understand it for you.

It needs the codes read it may just be asking for a oil reset after service or it maybe be moaning about a dpf regen

Have you given it a good run after the service and got it nice and warm ?

Nothing, I fitted the fuel filter and then drew up diesel through the filter using a hand pump. Van started first time.

Well I've driven it about 20 miles but the light is still on. I'll pop down to my pals tomorrow and see what he says.

it's all sorted. I realised after driving the van for 30 mins the light was off. It must have sorted itself out overnight.
