Make: Vauxhall
Model: Corsa Excite AC
Body: 5 Door Hatchback
BHP: 83.0
Engine Size: 1229
Year: 2014

Hi guys - I'm looking to install a new media centre on my 2014 Vauxhall Corsa Excite AC. Did a few searches on youtube and plenty of google searches (I'm a complete newbie) and quickly realised I wouldn't have a clue on what to do to install a new media centre.

The problem I'm trying to solve is connecting my mobile via bluetooth to the car to play music.

I can connect my mobile to the car and receive and make calls but the best I can do to listen to music is to connect my phone jack to the car jack via a cable. And the USB, although it works for charging devices, doesn't read my music files and doesn't allow me to control any music player on the mobile.

What can I do to connect my smart phone to the car via bluetooth to listen to music? Is the answer a new media centre and if yes, which one would you suggest?

Any help much appreciated!

Cheers,
D

Buy the media centre you like/want. If it is a standard DIN fitting it should slot right in (matching plug/socket) but there are adapters if they differ.

Thank you for the quick reply. Where do I find Corsa Excite compatible media centres?

When connected to the USB on the car pull down the phone menu and where it shows USB charging you can tap that to get options. This may allow you to select play media files? Worth a look before you mess around. See this vid which gives you the idea https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mc9uboAIQjE

Hi Bob - yes, I'm in the UK. I mean a stereo/media centre/radio that I can connect my mobile to via Bluetooth and listen to music without having to plug my mobile to the stereo via a jack cable. At the moment only allows me to make and receive calls via bluetooth.

Thank you for the suggestion. My phone is already in MTP and the radio/stereo/media centre doesn't read the music files.

Is it a Corsa D or E as they are vastly different

the Corsa D and E forum both have guides on them for stereo replacement

If your going aftermarket do not buy no name Chinese units off ebay

Pop into a Vauxhall dealer and see if they can help. The young salesmen usually know their way around this type of thing. I do not think it will work with Bluetooth only USB though.
