Hi all,
I am as new to car maintenance as things comes. It has never been my strong skill or interest but i am slowly wanting to learn more.
Hoping someone could give me an idea of possible causes as to why one rear window (passenger side) all of the sudden has decided that if you want the window to go back up by pulling the switch it is not responding at all.
To lower the window you can do it from the same switch and also from the front i can lower the window as well as make it go back up.
My initial thinking could be something has happened to the switch in the door itself, perhaps a cable is loose from all the opening and closing of the door? The fact that i can make the window go back up from the front to me suggest it cant be cables because obviously that works if i can do it from the front?
Thank you in advance for any advice

Sounds like a faulty switch and this is fairly easy to swap over if you can source one (plenty on Ebay for £10). Do you need it to open? I never open my windows as the aircon is on in hot weather.

I've mended car switches in the past. At least the sort where the case unclips apart. Just dirty contacts. You can try some switch cleaner in there first. I was having a job getting one at a sensible price though.

I do not know if this is similar to your car but the principle of swapping the switch is much the same on most cars. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gZVnkjU-3PE
