Looking to tile 900mm quadrant shower with 300mm wide tiles, ie three tiles each side, but to get even width I will have the tiles touching in the corner with a space the thickness of the tile the height of the shower. Do I fill this gap with adhesive or mastic. Sorry can't explain better. (if I butt up one tile onto the face of the other means no gap behind but one side will be the thickness of the tile shorter than the other.

I can see what you are describing. I'm a joiner rather than a tiler although I seem to be a fair bit of tiling . To be honest I'm not sure of the answer If there is an actual answer . I've seen corner joints done both ways in both grout and mastic and tend to feel grout looks better unless there's likely to be movement . As to " losing" width by butting upto the face I doubt if most would even notice but if it's your own you'll know it's there and your eye will always be drawn to it.

Grout or sealant will suffice. Personal preference dictates which.

Re your issue, there is no real solution as you want a tight seal.

No pro tiler would butt up a corner as you describe. Corners are *almost* never plumb and square, the outage is normally covered by cutting tiles to the wall,.
