Kitchen renovation

This is a project i undertook about two years ago. It involved the total renovation of my old kitchen, starting with the removal of a stone arch that divided the room, installing a new gypsum board ceiling, replacing the floor ceramic tiles, new cupboards and appliances and a new quartz kitchen top. I did all the work myself except the wooden cupboards and appliances. I will try to explain the various stages with pics. Hope you will like my work and hopefully the pics will upload properly. :-)

Fixing the gypsum boards to the framework was a bit daunting at first, but then i devised a contraption to lift the 8x4 sheets up to the framework and hold them in place while i screwed them. if i find a pic of this device ,i will post it. it's rough, but it served it's purpose.

Perhaps this thread came too late then!

Yes , you are right but it's been quiet a long time since i posted on this forum and i am trying to get familiar again with the way things are posted. even the sequence of my pics should have been inverted.also, sometimes i save pics on my PC and then i have difficulty locating them.

Yes, you are right. I love to work alone and being on the wrong side of 60 with limited muscle power, it's a necessity for me to devise contraptions that enable me to do the work in a safe manner.

You could of course hire out the board lifter when you are done with it...

It took too much space, so i cannibalized it and made a ladder .

This is another wall of the kichen which i missed posting. The rectangular gypsum overhangs by about six inches from the wall so that it could house the tv and wall bracket, the wooden boxes are removable so that i can access the wall plugs, wiring etc,
