Sand infill for artificial grass

Hello, looking for some help. Looking at putting some more sand infill in the artificial grass, am I able to use kiln dried paving sand for this?

I did, but I wish I had a) used a lot more than I did, b) used some rubber infill (like on astroturf).
Even if you brush regularly, it gets matted. Rubber infill would have help bulk it up and prevent the matting.

I'm still looking for a place to rent a power brush to de-matt it, but I can't find one local to me (London)
