Twit replacing ceiling roses
Posted: Sun Feb 02, 2020 3:26 pm
Hello electrickery people and thank you in advance for any help.
I removed three ceiling roses for bright shiny new ones as direct replacement.
Or so i thought.
The old plates had the loop on the right hand side rather than in the middle like the new ones.
I took a photo of the middle rose which was the most complicated. But of course, once i removed the old plate.. i just had a load of wires and couldn't match them to the photo
I've tried every configuration for the browns until i lose the plot completely.. forget what I've done, what i haven't done, forget the result.. etc etc.
I've looked up every YouTube video there is on wiring ceiling roses. I've read up on every diy site out there. You are my last hope.
There are:
3 switches
3 roses
Also connection to the bathroom pull switch.
1 switch - light 1
1 double switch - lights 2 & 3
1 switch - lights 2 & 3
Photos and diagram attached. Any replies, please pretend you're talking to a 5 year old.
I understand the concept of breaking the circuit and going off to and coming back from the switch.. but there's just too many of them..
Cheers
