Perspex and other cast acrylic is often described as having memory, this means that if you take a piece of Perspex which has been heated and bent into a shape it will retain that shape until the part is heated again. It will then revert back to the original shape that it was manufactured in. This video shows how a piece of 4mm thick Perspex which has been bent to 90 degrees will revert back to being a flat piece of Perspex once sufficient heat is applied to it.
