SDS drills are the ideal drill for drilling concrete or masonry. These drills come in both corded and cordless versions, with some of the cordless machines having almost the same power as the smaller corded versions. SDS drills are available from 12v cordless right up to 48v, although drills at this voltage are very rare. This video describes how the SDS drill works and explains why chuck adaptors are not such a good idea when using an SDS drill to drill metal.
