Thumb turn euro cylinders are often a good idea for many properties as they mean that it will always be possible to get in the property as long as you have the key. With most normal euro cylinders if someone leaves the key in the lock on the inside of the property and someone tries to unlock the door from outside the euro cylinder can be damaged. Fitting a thumb turn lock takes a matter of minutes, you can even get high security versions which are ant-bump, anti-pick and snap resistant.
