nah - disagree.

if it is slow by hours but the minutes are correct, it sounds more like a time-zone type related issue.

When you say sometimes when loggin on it is wrong, have you noticed the time after getting on the internet? or is it before going on line?

there are a few things you can do to make sure the time is always right, but bit more info about how you are seeing the problem is needed :thumbright:
I went to a bookstore and asked the saleswoman, "Where's the self-help section?"
She said if she told me, it would defeat the purpose.

here is my best guess .....

you say 8 hours out. I presume the clock is 8 hours SLOW?

The default Timezone for Windows is -8.00 GMT (Eastern US - where Microsoft are). I am wondering if for some reason your PC is reverting to the Default timezone? (both US and UK on summertime, so still 8 hours difference)

not come across a reason for that happening before, must admit.

One good way to always make sure you have the right time is to get your PC to sync with an internet time server - have a google for "free time server" for more info on what this is about (and note the word "FREE" - no need to pay for s/w to do this!!)
