How much does a company have to pay to Google for a competitor's website to be ignored?
I started out with nothing, I still have most of it.

I don't think that is possible?

Google often removes sites for a short time from their index if they think it is has broken Googles rules.

To advertise on Google it varies depending on the keywords that you are targeting. An advert for penny washers would cost a few cents, but an advert for asbestos related illness could cost a small fortune.

I think the company AND Google would have to pay a lot - in fines - if that happened and was found out!
I went to a bookstore and asked the saleswoman, "Where's the self-help section?"
She said if she told me, it would defeat the purpose.

Just get a better seo'd website than your competitor and update it regularly, this can cost you zilch if you do it yourself.
