I got a new laptop a few weeks back and it also uses vista.

I normally hate laptops, but this one is fantastic and is 18.5 inch widescreen with high definition and blue ray etc.

This is a brilliant bit of kit and is so much better than my Toshiba- which I have given to the nephew. The new one is an acer and I can use the touch pad and keyboard with no problems. The battery life is also excellent.

A few programs that I have do not work with Vista, but I still think it is awesome :thumbright:

Use hibernate instead of full shutdown, it will start up a lot faster, although you will occasionally need to do a full restart.

One of the nice features in Vista is the search tool and on the down side there are a lot of device drivers and software that won't run on vista.

Regards,
