Makita for me too, the majority of my kit is makita (cordless drills, sander, SDS drills, circular saws, jigsaw and planer)and I've not been dissapointed with any of it.

Makita Lithium all the way!!

Although the new DeWalt Nano Tech stuff is worth looking at! It is new to the market so might be worth waiting a year or two for them to iron out any problems. The Makita lithium range was a bit like this when it was first released. The combi drill gearing was a bit dodgy, and the first batch of batteries where a bit faulty. Now though Makita have got it nailed and the range gets bigger every month!

I'd get Bosch to be honest.

Their tools normally have the highest torque ratings in their class and better battery life.

a little bit of a contradiction
maximum tourque [nm]
maximum revs
maximum battery life

maximum torque is achived at low revs thus using more battery life
and the same again with high revs uses more fuel as the motor has greater ineficiencys

at the end of the day it's potluck. some of us have had makita and had problems, and the same can be said about dewalt and all other brands.

i've got both makes cos i rate them both highly. however, i had a range of bosch drills when i was employed, they were top spec back then but we burnt through about 6 in a row before we binned bosch. i just don't like it myself and will never go back to it.

as said above though, we will all state what we have and why we have it, doesn't mean it's going to be that way for you.
