Divx to Dvd

hi
Has any one got or can recommend a good program that will convert divx to dvd.
I use a VSO divxtoDVD converter at the moment but there is sometimes a lag between the audio & video, which can get annoying at the best of times.

Any suggestions ??

I used to use a program called IMtoo Mpeg.

This is their site but I'm sure there is a mirror download somewhere that would be free.

another vote for dvdsanta

dont do many nowadays,easier to buy a dvd player that plays divx and just copy to a cd

I use nero video converter and works fine.
The lag between video and audio can be due to an encoder problem.

In general, for this and other encoding/decoding needs I would suggest everybody to have k-lite mega installed on the system with option #7

i've never used this santa thing you refer to but then again, i don't need to because i have been using proggies for years to do all of this.

the only thing i would ask is why have you got this in DivX anyway? if you downloaded a film in divx and want to convert it back to dvd then it will be lossy anyway.

the loss of sync is prob also due to system handling. if yours cannot handle it well enough and you are using other resourses, it can mess up the sync. also try what rs232 has suggested.

Not too sure what you men by "Lossy", prob over my head. but all i want is something to do the lot, instead of have a dozen prog's, so if you can point me in the direction of such.....then please do so. I get TV/films from mates who have downloaded them, normally they are all in Divx/Xvid, so need to convert them so they will play on my dvd. Hope you can sort me out. Cheers Sandy

just means that someone has compressed it down to divx to upload it then you are converting back to Vobs (dvd format) so you will lose some of the quality

Is it divx or xvid? Nero hands xvid very well not too sure about divx but if they're files from the internet theyll probably be xvid.

Like Pob I too use VSO's ConvertXtoDVD if the need arrises and have never had any issues. I like it because it's straight forward and not full of features that I never use.

a great piece of software, never had issues with it- unlike when I've used Nero's equivalent in the past....

can't recommend it enough. Ideal for when I copy things over from my freeview digital recorder and want to convert them to dvd format...
