Hi
Can anyone tell me the difference between a mitre saw and a chop saw ( I assume a cutoff saw is the same as a chop saw).
I need a saw which will cut across wood (upto 65mm across)
at exactly 90 degrees.
I have seen the Proxxon 27160 KGS80 advertised. Would that be good for that job?
Thanks for any advice.

looks more like a modelmakers saw as it only has 80mm blade most chopsaws have a 210 to 305mm blade
cut off tools tend to be metal working
chop saws pull saws mitre saws will all mitre
pull saws will cut wider boards and usualy have the facility to trench which is ideal for cutting tennons and grooves/rebates
ryobi and rexon are good value saws for diy/ light trade with the ryobi slighly better build and up ro medium trade use
