Breaker

Post by Geewizz »

Picked up this meaty little 1700W breaker yesterday. It should come in handy for smashing up walls and driveways. I've found it's a little bit too big for mashing potatoes because it breaks the pan ... and the cooker ... and the kitchen tiles.

That is a nice piece of kit.

Dare I ask how much it cost?

A princely £120. I had it out today and it had me worried for a couple of minutes. It took a bit of time to get up to full pelt but once it got there it made a quick job of the concrete. It's not the best balanced breaker I've ever used but it beats a 50 mile round trip to the hire shop.

Bargain :thumbright:

I can never see the point in hiring tools

You have to p1ss about going to the shop and take id etc. then it is expensive.

If you buy the tool and it is good quality, you have it for life.

even a cheap make would be more economical than hiring, unless it was a specialised piece of kit.

I would love to buy all those tools and pieces of equipment which I use on a less than frequent basis. Apart from being unable to afford it all, I just don't have the storage space.

When I move south I'll be comandeering the garage though. I'm looking forward to seeing her face when I reverse a dumper in there. :-P

I got that same one out of Bnq, and burnt it out on first use.

The hire shop is 10 minutes away from me, and a Bosch breaker (about £800 worth) cost £35 including vat to hire. Got one during the week, and knocked the hell out it :thumbright:
