hi guys im in the middle of prepping a kitchen , room has been re boarded and plastered , and today ive finished painting it , but in this house there is very musty strong smell , and after today spent say 4 hours there almost felt as if my eyes and throat was getting sore , nothing to do with the paint as ive used it lots of times and room was well ventilated.
the rest of the house by the looks of it is in desperate need of a tidy up , but this smell is so overpowering
any assistance most appreciated

If there was dry rot, then you would of expected it to of been spotted before it was reboarded
Unless it is under the floors etc?

not a happy bunny atm where the walls in the kitchen have been reboarded after 3 coats of paint you can still see where the boards have been dabed , lots of circles , which are in contact with the damp wall .
now should the plasterer have battened instead of dot and dabed, as i cant fit the kitchen because the paint wont dry , and is starting to powder on the circles .
im going to get him back as i think hes made a mistake here in just sticking them on the wall , he knew there was a damp problem
