First Fix Advice...

Post by tonyenjoyd »

Hi all,

I am starting the first fix lighting and sockets in my kitchen extension this weekend.

Two Questions:

1. Is it OK for the lights and sockets (ecluding the cooker) to - using the new colour cables - to feed off their respective existing ground floor circuits - as long as I label the fusebox to state mixed cabling?

2. Do I have to leave EVERY bit of wiring exposed for the first inspection or will a wiring circuit plan and the cable ends visible suffice?

Thanks in anticipation for your responses

Tony
