But I need help.

Following on from Doug's post, I also had to get a new pc. Pleased with it mainly,but. It runs vista and on outlook, everytime I open mail, it HAS to install windoze professinal summat ????

Download and use Thunderbird as your mail client:

http://www.mozillamessaging.com/en-US/thunderbird/

As Richie says, to use Outlook it is linked with MS Office.

sounds like setup isn't completing, probably due to a bad factory pre install. best way is to uninstall office and install something else unless you have an office product key, which if you do, then reinstall office.

thunderbird is an ok client, just don't use it as an RSS feed reader...the wife does and it is painfully slow
