Help finding a tile!

Post by Bludall »

Has anyone ever fitted a tile from Homebase that is approx 15cm x 30cm long, grey/brown/ black, rugged like a slate (natural looking)? Had them in holiday cottage on kitchen and bathroom floor, lost photo of them! Was told that they were from Heomebase but seen none like them online!

Thanks for that! :thumbright: No, sadly! :cb The ones we saw were shades of brown, grey and black like natural splashes of hue in a slate. I looked in our local tile shops but saw nothing. Bloody annoying now as they are the tiles I want!

gonna stick my neck out a bit here and say 'flexcement' can be used to create natural stone effect tiles of any colour internally or externally, horizontally or vertically and can be made 100% waterproof..
http://www.flexiblecement.co.uk/page3/page3.html
i did the course, its good stuff, easy enough to use and some of the finishes, especially tiled effect stuff can look spectacular...
ill not spam the thread by posting any more links but theres installers out there all over the country...
its done in a similar way to pattern imprinted concrete but its an overlay system (10-20mm thick)
sorry about the first link btw (only way i could think of explaining it)

Chrisw,

Thanks but the second option was Wickes slate tiles, so think we'll be going with those.
