Hi All,

I recently had the engine management light come on in my 2002 VW Passat. I wanted to know why without paying expensive garage bills and knowing if it was what they said it was. This is not spam just thought some people would appreciate the info, take it or leave it, but it saved me quite a few quid and I still have the tool for future use.

I had a look and £40 looks cheap to sort out problems that a garage would charge lots for. These warning lights are more trouble than they are worth and the error codes never seem to help diagnosis.

i have a fault code reader and it was well worth the money as i used to buy and sell cars.
