Toshiba Satellite Problems

Hi! I have my toshiba satellite series. I bought it 6 months ago from a friend. Just this morning, I tried to open my music playlist but there is absolutely no sounds. What could be the possible reason for this? I hope someone can help me solve this problem. Thanks in advance.

Guessing that your using vista. Go to the start menu then computer. Right click on the computer and select Properties. Once the window open on the top left part of the window select Device Manager. Is there anything in the list that appears with a yellow triangle next to it?

Daft question but have you checked the volume control isn't turned down?

Which model of Satellite is it?

Also, go into Control Panel and select Sound and Audio Devices. Check the speakers aren't muted.
