Is it a click, or a clonk?

More of a clonk, them its probably a driveshaft.
A tell tale sign would be if you have a split boot on one, not always the case.

You can sometimes just replace the joint, sometimes its easier just to replace the whole driveshaft.

Id say it was doable yourself if you have the tools, jack, stands, decent sockets/spanners, prybars, balljoint slitter...
Never worked on a honda though, dont know anyhing about them.
Probably need to top up gear box oil afterwards too.

Might be able to get an exchange shaft from a motor factors, or one from a breakers, maybe even ebay.
DIY, 3 hours work, garage 1.5 hrs....
Parts £40ish, labour £50.

Thing is though, depend on what its all like when you take it apart, might be worth replacing worn balljoints etc while its all apart.
