Tiling around a bath panel

Post by MCLB01 »

When tiling a wall up to a bath below the bath level (bath panel frame not made yet) would you stop at the bath (i.e. where the bath frame would start) or would you tile a bit past where the frame would go and fox the frame onto the tiles?

The reason I ask is because the tiles are marble mosaics and I suspect very hard to drill through. How would you drill through them? Are they similar to porcelain mentioned in the drilling through tile thread?

Many thanks.

I always built the frame first but left the panel off.

Tile tight to the frame then cut the panel to fit, this covers the join where the tiles meet the bath.

Try to make it so the panel can come off without having to remove the tiles!
