tile cutter blades

Post by lovley jublee »

hi all, i have overcome a pva problem by soaking it out and sanding it downt hen going over it with pda (thanks for the advice),now its tile cutting.i have bought a screwfix 600 watt diamond blade cutter but it takes ages cutting a tile, iam using 12mm travertine tile so is this why or are there different grades of diamond blade so much so that the difference of cutting the tile will take 30 seconds instead of 5 or 6 mins, should i be looking at buying a different blade ? thanks in advance, and thankyou for your help with the pda poblem rob

I think a different machine would be better.

Natural stone of that thickness will not cut easily on such a small machine. Pro tilers use much larger machines for cutting such tiles.

The one from screwfix will cut them but very slowly, if you have lots of cuts then you may be better off hiring a larger machine.
