Hi all
I'm looking at installing a wetroom in my home, but am a bit lost on what tanking products to use.
I see that there are many products available such as Tilesafe, Kerdi, Impaband etc. and also the paste-on types such as the Bal WP1 and the Dunlop kit.
The thing is, they all vary hugely in price, for instance the Tilesafe is very expensive and is likely to cost hundreds whereas the Dunlop kit is about £30 for a 4kg tub!!
Is the Dunlop stuff any good? At this price it sounds too good to be true!
Advice here would be greatly appreciated.

By wet room I am assuming that you mean a room that is completely tiled and has all the fixtures out in the open with maybe dividers for stalls? This would involve making the entire floor like a shower pan. Pipes going through would be potential leaks so you would want to have all your water supply lines and drain lines go through the wall instead of the floor. Commercial toilets drain through the wall, sinks can use P traps instead of S traps. The additional expense would be in having the pipes relocated and tile work for the pan floor. I've done this in several homes for the boys bathroom and pool houses. Lot of tile work.
