Energizer advanced LED headlamp

Post by Meterman »

If your looking to buy a lamp/torch i would seriously take a look at the Energizer LED headlamp .Ive been using one for the last couple of months on a daily basis and found it a great bit of kit.

Especially if your working in poorly-lit areas such as dark cudboards, cellars or basements

Ive found it more convenient than conventional tourches/lamps as it can be dropped in the bottom of your tool box,Has 3 light settings also tilts and a battery life of upto 70hrs and only weighs 83 grammes and at £13.99 you can't go wrong

The argos link is not for the same torch, it only has 2 white and 1 red LED , the one in metermans link has 4 white LEDs , but still probably ok for the price

If it isnt broke dont bloody touch it until it bloody well is and if it is broke then make drawing of the connections before you remove the broken one and replace with a new one LoL

If you look at the Argos link theres a link to the other healight at the bottom. On the strength of this thread I bought on of the larger ones last week (they were £12.99 at Argos on Friday but they are £14.99 today!) I wanted one because I was doing an all-night fishing session on Orford Ness over Saturday night/Sunday morning.

What a great piece of kit! It is very light weight and robust with a small neoprene pad on the back of it so it doesn't slip around on your forehead. The part with the lights in tilts forward so that you do not have to hold your hands at a ridiculous height to gain the benefit of the light. The torch type setting is bright with good range to it and the flood setting is great for baiting hooks (working close up) It is also quite waterproof. The red L.E.D's certainly do help at night when you want your night vision preserved and incidently, red painted fishing rod tips show up great under the red glow too!

If I have any complaint about it, it would be that I found it quite annoying that I had to "scroll" through the functions in order to turn it off. Only a minor annoyance though.

I have just bought another one of these to keep in the van as I can see it being extremely useful on site.
If at first you don't succeed then it must be pub time.

I bought one last month when I was installing some installation in my house. I found it very useful because in the past when I would go up to my attic found to be very and a regular flashlight did produce enough light to do any type of work in my attic.

My Energizer LED headlamp made my job a bit easier because I was able to see what I was actually doing. Anybody that using a regular flashlight, I would recommend them to switch to a headlamp because your hands are free and you are able to work more efficiently.
