Solid oak block worktop advice please

Hi all, i am fitting some replacement worktops next week with Howdens solid oak block and could do with some advice on how to seal them,Get a good finish, & what is a good oil etc, i will not be doing this as the customer said they will undertake this task. :scratch:
Any advice would be much appreciated, thanks

when fitting solid worktop you'll need to seal edges before jointing them and cutting out for sink etc.
if you apply the oil with a cotton rag i found it gives a good finish. a few light coats are better then one heavy coat

i never fitted solid wooden top with out sealing them as customers never do them straight away ;)

dont forget the barrier paper under the appliances.
