if not whats the best way to scribe an end panel so it fits perfectly

i do something similar to what that does,
i clamp a bit of 2x1 on top edge of the panel and sit it on the unit then using another bit of 2x1 and pencil scribe the bottom

use an off cut of timber. Plot the scribe by using multiple measurements. Plus as already said.
