5 mins on a micro wave [puzzle]
you have a microwave with a one touch button
you press the button once it starts and reads 30 seconds
each additional press give you an extra 30 seconds
how many presses are required for it to read 5 mins[5-00]

Re: 5 mins on a micro wave [puzzle]
Since the timer starts counting down after the first 30 second push it will be almost impossible to get the display to read 5 minutes. Anyway, I'll say 11 presses but you'd need to stagger the intervals between each push to ensure it reads 5 minutes at some point but that point would only last for one second. Clear as mud?
