Boiler predicament
Hi
My mother aged 88 has had A Ferrolli OPTIMAX HE 31 C boiler since 2008 along with new radiators COSTING £6000. The water has never been that hot and they can't seem to get the heating to come on in the morning most days. Heating ould not come on last night or water. After some fiddling water is on, but flashing light says error D1. Ferrolli told us that means a delay and as she did not have it serviced last October the 5 year warranty is no good and she will have to pay an engineer to come out. I do not think there is anything really wrong, just complex boiler.
Any ideas on what to do, manual is so complex.

Re: Boiler predicament
If you live near Northampton I know one of the best Ferroli service agents around
But I bet you don't

Re: Boiler predicament
At one time every third boiler in Brum was a Ferroli.
Now if you see one anywhere its time to run!
They used to have a reputation for fit and forget!

Re: Boiler predicament
Hi
Your telling me.
The boiler decided to honour my mother by turning the heat on Wednesday night, but nothing yesterday.
In my house I have a Worcester and every time we turn the hot water tap on the heat cuts out. Sometimes it won't fire at all unless we tap it and then it fires up, sometimes it stops within a few minutes. We are sick of having engineers call out. Someone said it is the circuit board, we are all at their mercy. Wish we could live abroad and no heating system then just solar panels.
Cheers
Fiona

Re: Boiler predicament
If you had a proper competent engineer then he would fix it for you.
Worcester boilers are generally pretty reliable!
