I bought one like that a few years back for £10 which I thought was a bargain. It is a permanent stand for my bench planer. Well worth £8.

Maplin have some real bargains at times and their delivery is normally excellent :thumbright:

Reading the reviews apparently the quality matches the price, shame really as I've been looking for a cheapy bench for home.

I've still got one of the original B&D benches. Solid as a rock, and about 25 years old now... :thumbright:

I've just given my B&D bench away, I never used the thing. I find them too cumbersome and fiddly, I tend to use saw horses or even a couple of family heirloom milk crates. :wink:
