Spell Checker

Post by gas4you »

It may be me just be plain old thick, but I have my language selected as British English in the board preferences, yet the only spell checker options I am offered are English (us) or English (Australian).

I can't remember this being the case before recent times

:dunno: I don't think the forum has built in spell-checker, it'll be a function on your toolbar, or if you are using Chrome, I think that automatically checks your spelling...

Excellent.

Thanks Wine O

Found the problem and fixed it. I'd forgotten to add English UK when I re-installed all my programs etc  :thumbright:

Thank goodness it works for me, highlights immediately and right click option: Firefox and no MS Office just LibreOffice.

Shiny shiny spell-checker. :-)

I had to add a British English dictionary to Firefox to stop it from giving me corrections from proper English to American spellings.
One day it will all be firewood.
