Would you hit a nail with a shoe because you don't have a hammer? of course not, then why work on anything electrical without a means of testing Click Here to buy a "tester" just because it works, does NOT mean it is safe.
If gloom had a voice, it would be me.

Said I would advise if any progress was made as a result of my e-mail to "Mace Model Eng,Supplies Ltd":-The answer is nix,no reply of any sort so I must assume they are not interested. Thanks to Hitch for trying to help and I will have to stay with the spindle housing I made from copper pipe .

Re: Brass Pipe
Does it have to be brass...? The likes of B&Q sell small lengths of aluminium tubes in a few sizes...might be worth a look if you are passing.

Perhaps they are off sick, the website still says
"We are closed from 20th December until 3rd January. Orders can still be placed but will not be processed until the 3rd January. The shop on saville street is also closed "

Re: Brass Pipe
Tried B&Q and all the plumbers merchants in the area without success.Yes it must be either copper or brass as when in place it will be permanently under water and I do not want to risk any chance of corrosion.

Re: Brass Pipe
Would advise Hitch that apart from e-mailing "MaccModels"I gave them a ring this morning and as there was no reply can only assume he/she is having a extended holiday or illness has struck. If the latter hope they get well soon.
