Hi there campers. Bit nervous as it is my first time asking a question on here so I hope you don't bite.
I am going to be making a sump for one of my marine tanks. It will hold approximately 50L of water be made using 10mm thick acrylic. Divided into compartments and probably cross braced.
Do I need a cast or extruded acrylic for such a project.
I shall be getting it all cut to size because I should think working with the stuff is probably like metalwork was at school...........I got thrown out of class every lesson lol. i don't anticipate I would enjoy working with it.

Thanks guys, i could use an old tank, divide it up into sections and add baffles.
Difficult shape cupboard under the tank so a rectangular tank is not as suitable as making a quadrant.
melvesreef is a good source for info, but his sump designs have always lost me lol
